The Two Birds story began with a single beer back in 2011 and after 6 years it has grown to a range of five beers, that are brewed all year round. The illustrations and story on the labels depict the inspiration and history of how each beer earned its place in the ongoing range, and also lends a hint on what to expect inside the glass.
In 2011, the Two Birds set out on a journey to make this dream come true, by releasing their first beer, Golden. A largely unknown style in the craft scene at the time, Golden rocketed off the shelves and to this day, remains the flagship beer. This Golden Ale shows toasted malt characters and notes of stonefruit and citrus. In 2012, the Two Birds launched their second beer, Sunset. This beer is an ode to the many adventures they had in their hometown of Perth and the fond memories of red sunsets over the Indian Ocean. This Amber Ale is a blend of 9 different malts, producing a rich, complex beer with a light, roasty finish. It shows pine, grapefruit and toffee-like notes.More Information
In 2013, the Two Birds took off to the US on another adventure. Inspiration for the third beer struck at 30,000ft on a flight from San Diego to Portland. The Two Birds decided to brew a beer using all of the fresh flavours of their favourite food of the trip, Mexican tacos. This hoppy ale, brewed with the addition of corn, coriander leaf and fresh lime peel, produces a beer like no other and is fresh, fruity and zesty. In 2017, after 3 years of requests at the brewery tasting room, The Nest in Spotswood, Victoria, the Two Birds turned their hands to a well known craft beer style, Pale Ale. Of course, they couldn’t resist adding a Two Birds twist, and so bags of oats were added, and Pale was born. This hazy and super pale Pale Ale was brewed with 2 types of oats to give a smooth, silky mouthfeel and the hops lend pine, pineapple and passionfruit notes.More Information
