Jayne Lewis and Danielle Allen are Two Birds Brewing; the driving force behind Australia’s first female owned brewing company. Located in Spotswood, an inner-western suburb of Melbourne, this award-winning brewery typifies everything that is good about the craft beer industry in Australia.
These Two Birds are trailblazing their way into the record books by developing sophisticated, approachable beers that can be enjoyed with mates at a backyard BBQ or on the dinner table with your favourite meal.
Drop in to The Nest and see what all the fuss in about. If you like a good brew, you will love Two Birds Brewing.
We make the kind of beers that we enjoy drinking, so we make beers that have flavour and interest, while being clean, sessionable and approachable.
We also believe in balance, both in beer and in life, so we aim to make the kind of beers that suit good times with your mates and also that match whatever is on your plate. We also like to have fun and do things a little differently, so expect to see some more out-there beers in the future!
Jayne Lewis and Danielle Allen grew up and met in Perth over 16 years ago, but it took a two-week tour of the West Coast of the US in 2010, for them to realise how much they had in common.
Their shared love for the finer delights in life saw them visit breweries, wineries and dine at some world-renowned restaurants. During the trip the West Australians hatched the idea to start their own brewing company. After 6 months of discussing their dream to own and run their own business, Two Birds Brewing was born. Jayne and Danielle gave up their full time jobs and the journey began in earnest in June 2011. Their first beer, the Golden Ale launched in October 2011, with Sunset Ale following in May 2012.
Phase two of Two Birds Brewing involved building “The Nest” at 136 Hall Street, Spotswood. The Canadian designed brewing facility began brewing its first beers in June 2014. The Tasting Room opened in July 2014, and less than 3 years after the Two Birds first took flight, ‘The Nest’ has become home to a state of the art brewery, bottling line, tasting room, meals and function facility.
The Two Birds cannot wait to share more of their brews with the growing number of craft beer appreciators and look forward to saying ‘Hi’ to you at The Nest!
The story doesn’t end here though for these two trailblazing birds. Be sure to follow their flight to new and exciting heights by linking up with us on social.

Community / Sponsorship
The Two Birds love to support a wide range of events, whether they are for worthy charity organisations or to help launch up and coming businesses or brands. We love to be inspired because without new creative minds the world would be a boring place.
We are however a relatively new and upcoming business ourselves operating within some pretty tough cost parameters and are therefore not in a position to give away free beer to every request that we receive. Although from time to time we are able to consider a ‘sponsorship rate’ to assist like minded brands and businesses where possible.
Please use this form to submit your application and we will get back to you within 7 days to advise whether we are able to support you at this time.
